I saw a tv show with a girl named Aoife. They were from Scotland. They pronounced Ee-fa.

Aoibhe is pronounced 'EE-vuh' (like Eva) in Irish Gaelic. The 'bh' makes a 'v' sound when it is next to slender vowels 'i' or 'e'. The similar sounding Aoife is 'EE-fuh'.
