Kresel
I've been posting messages here as I've been uncovering names from my family's history. Today I found more information about an ancestor I posted about earlier. Her family were Austrian Jews who most likely spoke Yiddish. She is listed as Dresi in one document and Kresel in another. Does anyone have any ideas about the name Kresel? Thank you, Sara

Yup. Kresel is a Yiddish form of GRACIA (Judeo Spanish form of CHANAH).
Dresi is imo a short form of Dreisel, which is the Yiddish form of DRUSILLA.
