How would you pronounce the name Leannán?
I found this name in a discription and I love it, but i want to be sure it's pronounced right. I've heard diffrent ways and My fav was La-neigh, but is that right?

I've heard several different ways depending on whether one is a Scot or Irish. In Ireland, Western County Donagal, one would say Layn-awn. I've heard Scots pronounce it Lean-ann. However, we don't disagree on the leaning or the legend which is something of a miracle in itself!!! ;-D

Lan-nawn or lyan-nawn. The ending -án is always prn -awn. I have never seen it used as a name.

It can mean 'sweetheart' but I would say moreso 'lover' and it's pronounced like LAH-nawn or LYAH-nawn.Also, it's used as a word but I've never heard it used as a name.

LYUH nawn, according to Namenerds.com, which also says it's a male name meaning Sweetheart. Can't vouch for it.
