Bilehard
My great-grandfather (my maternal grandmother's father) had a very rare middle name - Bilehard (or Billehard, not sure of the spelling). My grandmother has no idea where it originates. Does anyone have a clue?
My family comes from the north of Sweden.

It looks like both are used as surnames in Scandinavia.I would guess: BI(L)E: like German "Beil" (Axe), Old High German "billi" could mean "sword" or "halberd" like the old English word "bill"
HARD: "hard" (or strong)Andy ;—)
