Boston by Carby7 |
The city in Massachusetts is named after a place in Lincolnshire, England, and according to A Dictionary of English Place-Names by A. D. Mills, the place name originally meant "stone of a man called Botwulf." The stone referred to could either have marked a boundary, or a meeting place.
