It would be pronounced pretty much the same as tulip. The 'w' makes an 'oo' sound so it literally breaks down as tee-OO-lip (accent on penultimate syllable) but actually probably sounds more like t-yoo-lip. However I've never actually heard the word tiwlip pronounced so it is just an educated guess based on the Welsh I picked up from my Welsh grandad. But generally when the Wlsh take a word use in English, the pronunciation stays the same but the spelling is modified to fit the conventions of the Welsh language.This message was edited by the author on February 23, 2007 at 2:59:01 AM
