A reply from the School Office
Dear Marlee, Mellija and Michaela,Thank you for your timely offer to fax us Challey's doctor's excuse. We had already been informed by Challey's cousin/sister as to the fact that Challey's parents are now dead (terrible explosion in Azerbajan, we understand), and we could be assured of the fact that there would be no more indiscriminate breeding between the two.Upon further investigation, we discovered that Challey, herself, might not even have been their unfortunate offspring, were it not for the fact that Challey's mother had been a bit slow in communicating her reluctance to her own brother (who was congenitally deaf due to generations of inbreeding -- by the time Challey's mother spelled out "STOP!" on her fingers, it was too late).Rest assured that we will diligently "spindle-proof" our school gymnasium in recognition of Challey's special needs, and also contact our local animal shelter to see if they can give us the telephone number of a low-cost spay/neuter clinic which would be willing to accept Challey.Very truly yours,
Tasmania (yes-that's-a-3-word-anagram)
