Albino American is NOT an ethnic group, but a group of Americans that share the same "defect" caused by a mutation. They can be from any ethnicity. Almost, if not all, albinos either lack the gene or have a suppressed gene for pigmentation.

There are quite a number of cases outside homo sapiens of albinoism (if there is such a word), including entire species.
