Re: PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY NAME!!!!
Larissa was the name of a contemporary Greek city and of many ancient Greek cities. Modern Larissa is an eminently avoidable hillbilly town, which explains why no Greek women are presently called Larissa . According to A Greek-English Lexicon (Liddell & Scott ), Larissa is derived from the Ionic *Lêrisai*, meaning citadel (Mike C you might want to note this).
