Eylem is the root of the verb "Eylemek" in Turkish. Eylemek means
"To act”. Therefore, Eylem is the noun of that verb and it means "action".
In Turkey, demonstrations for protest of large groups are sometimes called "Eylem". You can see subtitles on newspapers as "There were an Eylem today in Istanbul". In this case, it is "an action" that is done for "some reason/target/change. It is mainly given to the female babies of socialist/leftist and non-muslim/Alawi parents in Turkey.

Eylem means "action" or "act to change (something)". It is mostly given to female babies but it is a unisex name. Name owners can be from all parts of Turkey, ethnical and religious background. It is considered to be a "modern" name, popular and common amongst younger generation.
