Re: Names at work
I do a lot of genealogy, and am interested in it from all over the world.
Mainly names from other countries and titles of royalty of other contries.
Even though I thought it had to do with titles of royalty from the middle east, I couldn't find a connection concerning Royalty. But on the internet, using the name KANWAR, their are listings for the last name KANWAR.The name is in India. Amoung them is a professor. A film director in the provence of Punjab. So I would say that any chance of finding an answer would be in that area of the world.Shalom and good luck.

That helped, Roy!I used the info you'd found on "Kanwar" being Indian, and you were spot-on. It's a Sanskrit name, and it does mean "prince". It's also spelled "Kanvar".-- Nanaea

RoyYAAAAAAYYYYY! (picture a cheerleader jumping up and down as the winning goal is scored)You seem to be a great addition to the regulars on the BtN site. Even though I have quite a number of resources at my beck-and-call (I'm a college student), I didn't think of trying the direction you led us.I hope you visit often and for quite a long time.Bud blagosloven (blessed be in Russian/Ukrainian)
