The heck it isn't. Good ol' Nanaea 's (one of our regulars) middle name is Rachael . A very important person in two of the three abramic religions (the "major" three: Judaism, Chistianity and Islam) was the second wife of Jacob and the mother of Joseph and Benjamin . Her name? Rachael .
Okay, so your name is a variant, but a lot of common names today were merely variants of other names (John , for example, or Paul , or Sandi).
