It has been a year since
Leia came to live with us and she has settled in nicely to our family.
Elisa was so excited to have a sister after living with two brothers for most of her life, and
Ronan for the past few years as well.
Leia and
Elisa get along quite well together and quickly became friends. After we found out
Leia was interested in taking singing lessons, we found a class for her.
Elisa had been singing for awhile but had never had formal lessons so we allowed her to start as well. Along with singing lessons, we also encouraged
Leia to start playing an instrument like the rest of the kids so she chose piano. Since
Wesley has been playing piano for several years he is very proud that he is actually able to help
Leia sometimes and the two enjoy playing together.
Elliott was born six months ago and everyone absolutely adores him. He is a very happy baby, laughing and playing contentedly most of the time, and is just starting to crawl.
Ronan just loves to play with him all the time and as he is just starting to read we frequently find him showing books to
Elliott.
Christian and I dote on him like any loving grandparents and so do his aunt and uncles. While there is usually no shortage of people to care for
Elliott between
Christian,
Talia,
Elisa and I,
Leia has done a great job of balancing being a mother with her own personal life and will usually try to be the one responsible for him.
