Deidre - Abigale is one of my pet peeves for some reason, and, no offense, but
Abigayle just makes the bad, worse.
Arabella -
Eilidh is very pretty, but
Arabella is a little prettier, even if a little less interesting.
EleanorAriana - another pet peeve name, but it's the lesser of two evils.
Audrey - it's not my style, but miles more interesting and prettier than
Danielle.
Isadora - although I have warmed to
Aurora. It'll never be a favourite but it's pretty and unoffensive and it's quite nice.
Gabriella - Aviana would have been my choice, I don't mind it, but the Avian just kind of went wham at me - Avian, like Avian Flu, and Aviana just dropped like a stone in my ratings. I mean, I know avian = bird, but the flu aspect just sticks out to me.
Elizabeth -
Bernadette will always be very Catholic and kind of Irish to me. It's okay, but not what one would call beautiful. It would be sweet and quirky on the
right kind of person, dowdy on the wrong kind. You can't really go wrong with classic
Elizabeth - it's just kind of uninteresting, but anyone can pull it off and it's the sensible, practical kind of name. Also, lots of nicknames which can lead to some individuality - yes, I grew up with a
Lizzy A.,
Lizzy H.,
Lizzy L etc, but I also knew / know / have known a few named
Lily, a
Libby, two or so who went by
Beth, a
Liz and a
Lisa. There's an elderly
Elizabeth on our road who goes by
Betty, and I found out that there's a
Bess on the next road as well. So, the wide choice of nicknames is probably
Elizabeth's saving grace.
LivianaFionaLila - but it's probably a better nickname.
Tahlia - although
Lucy is so sweet. I wish it were less common and it's a nice nickname for
Lucille or
Lucienne.
Maren -
Stella is not my style at all.
SeraphinaGenevieve -
Rosalie is nice, but...eh...
