Chayim and Lottie are newlyweds living in Seattle. Chayim is the lead vocalist in an indie band called Skilled Mistake. He and his bandmates are currently playing mainly small gigs, but hope to get big. Lottie just graduated university and has landed a job as a fourth grade teacher at a local elementary school called Stony Ridge. Both Chayim and Lottie love their jobs, but neither pay well. They are currently living in a small one-bedroom apartment outside of the city.

Every year, Lottie's school runs a holiday food and toy drive to support the impoverished families in the neighborhood. The drive hadn't been doing too well this year, so the school decided to run a community fundraiser. Lottie and Chayim wanted to help out any way they could, so Chayim volunteered his band to provide musical entertainment at the event, and Lottie set up a face-painting booth. The turnout to the event was great, and they ended up raising enough money to get every impoverished child at Stony Ridge a hearty holiday meal and a gift. Chayim and Lottie feel great to have volunteered their time and energy to bring smiles to their neighbors' faces.

As a teacher, Lottie has the summers off. The pair saved all year to afford a week-long getaway after school let out and booked a flight to Costa Rica in July. She speaks English fluently and is excited to live in the United States, but is apprehensive about the adoption too. Chayim and Lottie are very excited to welcome Nina into their lives.
In other news, Lottie has secured a new job teaching first grade at Willow Point Elementary School.

Still living in a one bedroom apartment with a teenage daughter sleeping in what is essentially a large closet, Chayim and Lottie were planning on waiting until they had enough money to move to a bigger space before having a child together. However, things didn't work out that way and Lottie found out that she is pregnant. The couple was, of course, excited and Nina jumped with joy. Then they found out they were having twins! Fraternal twins run in Lottie's family -- Lottie has a twin sister herself, so it wasn't a huge shock, but it was still a shock.
In November, the Mohrens welcomed Theodore Flynn and Benjamin Lucius into the family. Theo has wavy brown hair and hazel eyes. Benny has curly red hair and green eyes. The two boys are currently sleeping in Chayim and Lottie's bedroom until they find a new place to live.
Additionally, Lottie has graduated with her master's degree and therefore received a raise at her job.

Nina has graduated high school! Initially, it was difficult for her to adjust to American living but she made it through what some consider to be the best years of your life, and others consider to be the worst years of your life. She will be attending university in Los Angeles in the fall, and wants to study social work.
Chayim, Lottie, and the twins attended her graduation ceremony to see her get her diploma, and it was an exciting event for all.

The family is unbelievably excited to be in a bigger place, rather than the tiny newlywed apartment they spent the last decade in.

Aliya doesn't speak any English, but is picking it up quickly.

This year, Nina discovered she was pregnant. She wasn't planning on starting a family until after she was married, but she's excited nonetheless. The father of the child is named Cedric Joseph Huxley and he and Nina met in college. Cedric has curly brown hair and blue eyes. He is a nurse at a local hospital.
In October, Nina and Cedric welcomed twins -- one boy and one girl. The boy's name is Hollis Gerard, and he has wavy black hair and brown eyes. The girl's name is Margalit June. She has curly red hair and hazel eyes.
Nina and Cedric are considering getting married in the near future.

This year, Nina discovered she was pregnant. She wasn't planning on starting a family until after she was married, but she's excited nonetheless. The father of the child is named Cedric Joseph Huxley and he and Nina met in college. Cedric has curly brown hair and blue eyes. He is a nurse at a local hospital.
In October, Nina and Cedric welcomed twins -- one boy and one girl. The boy's name is Hollis Gerard, and he has wavy black hair and brown eyes. The girl's name is Margalit June. She has curly red hair and hazel eyes.
Nina and Cedric are considering getting married in the near future.

Chayim and Lottie have decided to add to their home. Theo and Benny have been getting into musical instruments, and the house has been very loud. Theo is learning bass guitar and Benny has been learning drums. The Mohren family has added a soundproof garage onto their house as a place for the boys to practice their music.

The Huxleys have adopted a dog! His name is Vlad and he is a 3-year-old pug. The kids are all super excited to have a puppy to play with. Additionally, Nina and Cedric have finally gotten married!

While driving home from work one evening, Chayim was hit head-on by a drunk driver and passed away. The whole family is very torn up, and Lottie is taking time off work to mourn. Nina and Cedric are their kids are staying with Lottie and the family to help out around the house.
