Benedict Normandy, a pure blood wizard, grew up as the doted on only child in an upper crust wizarding family. Both his parents were high ranking ministry officials, and they routinely brought Benedict to ministry parties, where he was supposed to mingle with other children like him. Although he did make friends, he became rivals early on with the son of the Minister of Magic, Septimus McAffee.
Septimus was generally ignored by his parents, who were too busy to take care of their many children, and started rebelling at a relatively young age. Benedict hadn’t thought to question his parents’ skewed views, and was positive that he would be sorted into Slytherin when he started Hogwarts at the age of eleven. Septimus, however, was positive that he would be sorted into Gryffindor and planned to beat Benedict in all of their classes. It was a dismay to both of them when they were sorted into the same house, Gryffindor. After constantly competing with each other in classes and on the Quidditch field for a year, they called a truce, and, by their fourth year, they were best friends and comrades.
Benedict had a secret crush on the seeker for the Hufflepuff Quidditch team, a muggle born girl named Rhiannon Hunter-Davies. Rhiannon was in the year below them, and widely known throughout Hogwarts for being the brightest girl in her year. She was also open to help anyone who was struggling in their classes. Septimus, after pushing and pushing for his friend to ask Rhiannon out, took matters in his own hands. He slipped her a note saying that Benedict was having difficulties in his math class, and she tutored him for a time, until, he confessed that potions was his best subject, and finally asked her out. They dated all during Benedict’s seventh year, and continued their relationship while she finished up school and started nursing school.
Septimus and Benedict moved into a small apartment together while training to become Aurors. Lisandra Smith, a pretty young lawyer who had been a Ravenclaw in the year above them, was renting the apartment next door. Septimus gathered up his courage, and asked her out just a month after they first met. Septimus’s feelings were mutual, and he and Lisandra started a long term relationship. Benedict and Rhiannon got married two years ago, and Septimus and Lisandra got engaged on the very same day. They finally had their wedding ceremony not long ago.

Benedict and Rhiannon recently found out that they were expecting a child, but they don’t know the gender. They plan on giving the child one rare name and one very popular name. Benedict wants to call his child by their full name, not a nickname, but he doesn’t want their name to be too short either. If it’s a little girl, they want her first name to sound very feminine. Although they know they want to hyphenate their child’s last name, they can’t decide between Normandy-Hunter, Normandy-Davies, Davies-Normandy and Hunter-Normandy.

Septimus and Lisandra, newlyweds, recently got a tawny owl for delivering mail. They want the owl’s name to have a meaning relating to messenger or something else mail related.
