Name: Lady Nessa Morrigan of Havendale

Physical description: Lady Nessa is tall, close to 6 feet in height, and muscular from years of training to fight. She typically braids her dark blond hair with a string of spikes in one of the strands to discourage enemies from grabbing it in a struggle. A scar on her right jawbone is all that remains of a close call she had with a rival knight many years ago. The other knight came to regret his attempt to slit her throat. Lady Nessa rides a chestnut stallion named Spitfire.
Primary motivation(s): One of only a few female knights in her kingdom, Lady Nessa seeks to defend the weak and powerless. She particularly enjoys teaching small groups of women and children how to defend themselves. She and her closest friends distribute food and other necessities to the villages that are entrusted by the king to her care. Most recently, she began recruiting a network of allies to rally around the rightful queen, who happens to be a dear friend of hers.

Physical description: Jupiter is in that gangly, awkward phase that all teenagers go through. He's not yet as tall as Lady Nessa, but he will probably tower over her soon. He has brown hair reaches his shoulders; it grows quickly and he rarely cuts it. He has striking green eyes, a long nose, and loads of freckles.
Primary motivation(s): The young werewolf first began stealing as a child to survive. Jupiter's parents abandoned him after he was bitten at the age of 7. Now, he has taken a few other orphans and abandoned children under his wing. Most of his stealing is to help this ragtag group survive, though he has taken on some burglary jobs. He usually robs from the rich to give back to the poor. Someday, Jupiter wants to find his family again, just to make sure that his younger siblings are doing okay. Lady Nessa caught him stealing recently and offered to help him and his little band in exchange for his help delivering messages. Jupiter took the opportunity, though he continues to burglarize the rich on occasion.

Physical description: Donarin has just reached middle age for an elf, which shows in his lightly lined face. He has dark skin with long, jet-black hair. The intricate silver designs on his hands distinguish him as a healer.
Primary motivation(s): For many years, Donarin worked for the royal family's healer as an assistant. This is where he met his now wife, Felicity Winterdell. Eventually, he became disgusted with corruption in the royal court and left to work as a healer in the countryside. He also provides healing services to the underground movement led by Lady Nessa to restore the throne to the rightful queen. He feels that it his is duty to right the wrongs he saw in the court all those years ago.

Physical description: Flick has the delicate features of her mother, who was an elf, but the clumsiness of her human father. Her brown hair frames her round face in tight ringlets, and her grey eyes stand out against her light brown skin. She is much shorter than her husband, Donarin. Her elf parentage gives her a slightly longer lifespan than humans.
Primary motivation(s): Flick's father was a bard, so she believes that it is her duty to pass on the stories he told to so many people. Eventually, she wants to become just as famous as he was. Her talents as an archer make her a great asset to the underground rebels, and Flick can learn stories along the way to revolution to tell as a bard.

Physical description: Maksim is slightly taller than most dwarves at nearly four feet. According to some rumors, one of his great-great-great-grandfathers was a human, though not even Maksim knows for sure. He is pale from many years spent underground and has blond hair. Much like other dwarves, he has rough features and his very strong for his size.
Primary motivation(s): Few dwarves undergo the training to become wizards, so Maksim is quite proud of his skills. He has convinced many of his kind to join Lady Nessa's forces. Maksim believes that the rightful queen would restore his people's rights so that they could come out of hiding for good, and he hopes to personally gain a position of power at the new queen's court.
