When Thad and June were contact by a adoption agency a year ago, the idea of preparing to adopt a child whose only living relative was terminaly ill but still alive seemed crazy to both of them. Especially June had a hard time to commit to the arrangement and was unsure until the very last moment when they decided to go for it, once they got to know Imani and her wonderful grandmother all of her worries and insecurities have been swept away in an instant. During the year they got to know their little girl and she got to know them, calling them her parents way before they officially were ones. There was a rough period for their little girl following the death of her grandmother, but they were there for her loving and supporting her.
Imani or Margot how she is officially called now, is despite her young age quite strong-minded and advanced for her age. It was her who asked to change her first name to Margot, while Thad and June planned to keep her original name loving the meaning. In the end they obeyed to her wishes and added Anuket a name of Egyptian goddess as her other middle name.
