It has been two years.
The kids and grandkids surprised Tino with a 75th birthday party--at which their oldest grandchild, Kiana, announced her engagement to a longtime boyfriend! The two of them are planning to be married in seven months, after they both graduate from college. Kiana is studying elementary education, while Jason will get a degree in forensic science.
Kiyoshi is planning on going to college after he graduates next year. He is very interested in becoming a social worker.
Lyna is in high school and really has no interests other than her music.
Perus, 13, still doesn't speak English well, but knows enough to get by.
Kali, 13, is the most outgoing one of Tali and Laddie's kids and makes friends everywhere she goes.
Aaron, 8, is still settling into life with a large family. He has had a little bit of trouble adjusting, but is very attached to Laddie and follows him everywhere.
Flora and Marcus' crew is also getting older. They are an active bunch and play soccer, frisbee, swim, mountain bike, and are all actually working toward black belts in karate.
