Percival and Vanessa can’t quite believe that they’re about to be great grandparents! It’s been 16 years since Petra came into their family and her grandparents have been enjoying their last years by spending as much time with their family as possible. They were thrilled to be honored guests at Selma’s wedding to the man of her dreams last year and they’re encouraging (a bit prematurely) Elin, Vega, and Petra to hurry up and have families of their own.

Selma’s husband is African-American and all his names reflect this heritage. His first name is a title (eg. King, Duke, etc.) and his middle name has a non-traditional spelling. Selma wants to creatively honor her grandfather in her son’s first name and they plan to give him an African-American middle name.

The whole family got together this month to celebrate Patrick’s wedding to the girl of his dreams and his adoption of her daughter. Patrick’s new wife was widowed when her previous husband died in army service. She has been caring for her daughter alone ever since and stayed away from love until she accidentally fell head over heels for Patrick. She’s German-American and both her first and middle names are used in both countries. Her surname is short and German and Patrick has agreed to take her surname as his own. Their daughter’s first name is used in both German and English and is fairly popular in the US. Her middle name has a rather harsh German sound.

Kathleen and Huck loved showing off their three year old son at the wedding. Like his sisters he has two classic names, one Irish name, and one more modern name. One of the classic names is shared with his father and the more modern name relates to the title of a famous play or dance. He goes by his third name or a nickname of that name.

After a surprise pregnancy Neville and Florence are parents to their fourth child and third daughter. She has a very British first name and an Irish, Welsh, or Scottish middle name with a similar feel to Estelle and Freda.

After the scandal of last year the four parents have decided to not pair into couples at all but coparent all the nine children together. It’s been kind of difficult with five young adults and two rebellious teens, but they’re doing their best and are confident things will work out in the end.

Juno and Itai’s relationship has developed into a deep and lasting romance and they tied the knot last year. Juno has converted to Judaism and they want their daughter, who they are expecting in just a couple months, to have Hebrew first and middle names. Her first name is fairly long.
