Could you be looking for a variation of Rhiannon? Rhiannon is a Welsh name (and a Welsh goddess name at that), so it is much older than the Middle Ages.

I tried Rhiannon, and apparently it's a modern name. They haven't been able to date it back into period of Medieval times, or else I could have used Rhian. But if anyone can prove me wrong I'd be more then happy to know! :)
