Thanks Pavlos!
Thank you very much! I was a bit lazy with my own research on this name - I guess I just knew I would find all the answers I needed on this board!:o)

Youre welcome :) By the way, what's with the extra "i" in Paulina? :P

It´s a Finnish "speciality", used in order to indicate a long vowel. Other examples of Finnish spellings: Saara, Tiina, Eeva...
People sometimes assume I´m into creative spellings, even more so since I named my son Saam :0) - this a Persian name (pronunciation: rhymes with "calm").

Very interesting :) Maybe you could submit a few more names from Finland Mike C (this site's founder and head honcho)for inclusion in the database.
So if I ever lsft Greece for Finland, would Paavlos or Pavloos be appropriate? :P

I´d say you should stick to Pavlos...but we could change your name into Paavo, or Pauli, which would be the more approriate choice, I guess!
