Hi Tammy,
I'm an adoptive parent too. I did not change my daughter's first name. I always tell her it is one thing she'll always have ...a gift from her birthmother. And her gift from me was her middle name.(and a loving permanent home)
Ask Uyla. If she likes her name I see no reason to change it. She's the one who is going to have to live with it for the rest of her life. She may have a suggestion.
