Re: Meaning
in reply to a message by Moya
Depending on your ethnic background, which you neglected to tell us both the first and second times you posted your enquiry and which might have gotten you an answer quicker (but since I'm in a good mood today I'll reply to your posting anyway instead of give you the generally deserved "RTFM")...If you are of Irish background, your name of "Moya" might possible be a variation of "Moira" -- which is pronounced "moy-ra" and which is an Irish form of the name "Mary".If you are of Hispanic background, check out this link: http://members.tripod.com/~GaryFelix/index10.htmThere are probably multiple other possibilities as to the origin of your name, but since you neglected to give us as much information as possible about yourself for us to go on, possibly few people here have the time or inclination to track down every possible source of any "Moya" on this planet earth.-- Nanaea

Next time I'll go to a site which is more hospitable rather than the rubbish I have just received from you.
Didn't realize that people had to write that sort of information to get a response - perhaps you should read some of the others and write similar comments back to them - that will do you the world of good as a messaging board.I'll publicise your response to others to ensure that they don't bother you or this site again - that way you can crawl back under the stone you just came from as you clearly are a lower form of life that most things currently in existence. If I knew where the name came from I wouldn't be asking you such questions but you clearly don't have the rappour to communicate with normal people.
Ethnic background is white and British which is more than your name indicates - if you don't like it here perhaps you should go back to where you originated from rather than take it out on others here.

If you were capable of following simple instructions......you would have seen this message upon first hitting the "Post a Message" button:"IMPORTANT: If you are posting a question about the origin of a name please include as much information as possible. Most important are the gender and ethnic background."Can't say I'm sorry you got your feelings hurt. I have little patience for thick-headed, thin-skinned types such as yourself.Take a chill pill, baby. And learn to READ and FOLLOW instructions.-- Nanaea

re:there are pills to help people cope with pms :)
And I think despite your lack of reading instructions, I think Nanaea was very gracious in still answering you.
And you posted twice, when you were told the first time we need more information.
The reason we need more info is because a name such as yours has sevral differnt possible backrounds.
She was just trying to help, as with the rest.
Most ppl get the 'RTFM' (basically meaning please give more info) message
but they were EXTRA nice to you.
And if it takes so much hard work for you to say a few simple things,
it will take the BTN crew much more time to find it, so perhaps you should justify that in your mind.
How dare you bash others names, number one, it is just a name, it represents nothing about them.
If a parent names their child 'Idiot' they could still become a rocket scientist.
And especially in our culturally mixed society, names are often not picked on backround anymore, or even gender sometimes.
I think you need a little more respect for those trying to help.
As someone on here ironically once said to me 'if you want to play nice, we will play nice with you'.. or it was sumthing like that
I think you need to just be calm and realize that Nanaea took time out of her day to look that information up for you, she doesn't work here, she doesn't HAVE to
She did it out of the goodness of her heart.
Have some respect.
And... talk to your doctor about those pills....~Silver
