My older sister is Anna Rachel Cane
Incidentally, my younger sister is Torgun Miranda Cane, and my mother is Mary Theresa Cane (nee Spowage, of whom there were NONE in the US 1990 census :)). I am the only person to get their initials to themselves, and even then they are a combination of everybody else's...

'Torgun' makes me think of the Norse name Þorgunna.

I think when I finally get my PhD. and I am at parties, social gatherings etc. and anyone is foolish enough to ask me what my PhD. is in, I shall say DEMONOLOGY - and that should cut down on the silly questions (and even sillier statements .i. 'my mother once had a Welsh name...or was it Irish? Well, it was Celtic anyway. Moira, that was it. Now what does that mean?' 'Mary' 'Oh'.)

Yes, I should think that telling someone at a party that your doctorate is in demonology would cut the conversation straight to the "Oh." ;)
