you might want to relook the body of your posting. "Ejaculated" is a perfectly proper verb for a verbal outburst, but the sentence reads a little strangely (?)

Hey, I learned English by reading Agatha Christie as a kid. Her work abounds with wonderful imagery such as "...'Eureka!,' ejaculated Hercule Poirot as contemplated the suspect, erect and firm..."
