ArchivesHey, do you remember that TV show, "Isis"? I'd forgotten all about it 'till now. Wasn't she a superhero? n/t

I LOVED that show. That show and "Shazam".
I remember Isis, though. I remember when she turned into Isis, she put her palms out to her side and said "Oh Mighty Isis (echo), Isis(echo), Isis (echo). I also remember that she had some sort of ancient jewel on her forehead and when it is placed into the sun, the enemy better watch out.
I recently watched the movie "Bring It On" and one of the cheerleaders name was Isis (Ice for short). I couldn't believe it!

Yeah, I remember it and no, she wasn't technically a superheroine.
It was loosly based on the idea that the goddess Isis would willingly completely possess somebody at the command of that particular somebody (who just happened to possess the "amulet") without going through an exhaustive ritual. It was tacked onto the Captain Marvel (sp?) tv show to make the "Hour of Power (if i remember correctly) and there were a couple of times they (the writers) merged the two shows together. :shrug:
