This is one of my favorite names ever since the movie My Girl, but I can't seem to find anywhere what it means, if anyone does know what it means, please let me know. Thank you!

it is similar to the German name Valda, meaning power and also similar to the Dutch word for father. by looking at names and words a bit like Vada my geuss is that it means power or master, a powerful person with a fairly high status, (a little like darth Vader really).
