odd middle name i have
I have a very odd middle name. It's actually a family name, but it is not on this website and I would like to add it. It's JaVana (ja-van-ah) According to my mother's family, it is the Swedish form of Johannah, my great-great-great grandmother's name.

JaVana is definitely not the Swedish form of Johannah, which is Johanna. JaVana looks more like a kre8yv spelling of Giovanna.

Jovana (not Javana) is on this site, as is the male form, spelled Javan. They tend to be variants of John (or Giovanni (m) / Giovanna (f)), etc. in some way. I have a friend Jovana & I think it's a lovely name.

I think you meant Jovan, not Javan...Because Javan means "Greece" in Hebrew. (Yes, the country Greece.)Jovan and Jovana are the Serbian and masculine and feminine forms of John, yes. Jovan is also Macedonian.

It's pronounced juh-van-ah.

Oh, I get it. Sorry, I'm a little slow today. I guess my grandma's wrong. She says: My grandmother(my great-great grandmother Julia Marie) said the name was derived from her Mother's name Johannah.

Yeah, it's mocking "names" like Makynzeigh and Gabreighal.
