"Degas" and "Clarusmons" (circa 1200) French
Any thoughts? any one especially good with French older names?

Clarusmons is from latin "Clarus Mons", which means "famous/bright mount". It gave the modern french names Clairmont and Clermont.I don't know for Degas...Bye :]

Degas could be "de Gas", from a place called Gas?
