*Sigh*
We have had a lot of people who were really one person, but pretended to be two or more. (Our record's 23 false identities for one person, iirc.) In fact, this happens so often that I would estimate that 80-90% of all those "separate" people with the same IP are actually one person using multiple names... this is strictly against the rules, and is colloquially called MPDism around here.Because of this, we all tend to automatically assume that two or more people who share the same IP are MPDs. We have to be told otherwise. Pavlos was not around when you explained your unique situation the first time, so he naturally assumed you and your gang were MPDs. He meant no harm, he was just cracking down on someone he thought might be a rule-breaker.*MPD: Multiple Personality Disorder. Self-explanatory, methinks.

Geeks like that "Albanish" character come to mind.

Hi, Thank you for your mesage and further for the congratulations on becoming a father. This is really all i have time for at present, its now 2am here in England, Saturday morning. I spent most of the day at the hospital with dear - dear Trinity, for a man of no religion, i seem to be praying a lot recently, but still thats another story...
MPD, if only! i could be in two places at once and solve all my problems. Forgive me if i seem a bit stupid to ask this, but why do people use multiple names? I can't really see what would be achieved? after all if you have 4 things to ask, it takes a fraction of the time to post 1 listing of all 4 (under 1 name) as opposed to 4 listings (under 4 names) or am i overlooking something obvious?
Anyway Miranda, i would like to thank you for your thoughts on several names and information you provided on different sites, which proved very useful, as the boys become better at this, i expect all you will see from us is those elusive single element names from Old Norse/ Old English that we keep on searching to find a site that can explain them, but we just cannot seem to find a suitable site, idea's???
What does *Sigh* mean, obviously this could be read several ways? sigh of relief? i assume, anyway got to go now, ole girl not sure when i personally will be back on here, but all this best regards "Bagpus"

"Sigh of tiredness", actually. I don't know if it's just me or not, but lately it seems that we've gotten a bit more of board policy related drama than is usual. (We've also had a jump in true MPDs recently, which I think may be related to it being April school break in some areas.) It gets tiresome after a while, you know?I'm sorry to hear about Trinity. :-( Try to keep faith, babies can really surprise you sometimes. :-)We wager that most MPDs are bored teenagers looking to see if they can deceive a board. And if so, how long they can keep the charade up for. It's a game to them, really. Others show signs of having deeper problems... And still others are simply ignorant of the rules, but that grates on the regulars too since the rules are pretty darn easy to find imo, if you took the time to simply look a (very) little bit.EDIT: A bit of rewording and a touch of expansion, for clarity

Attn:- MirandaMiranda, I read what Baggie wrote and can't really add anything, except to say we were really unaware of this MPD thing, but we think the real giveaway is in the questions posed, i assume that not many school children on holiday are interested in Old Norse!
As we aquire more reference books and sites many names have been resolved before searching on this site, we have a wonderful book called the Revised Medievil Latin word list, this is excellent for finding many obscure elements and Mark has a Old Norse reader. Baggie is right we are just rookies (or do they call them freshmen in America?) in terms of this but we are learning. Forgive me if i ask what may seem obvious questions sometimes, after going around in circles for ages me and Mark just couldn't find the meaning of the name Wend, so finally we ran the enquiry on this board, we do try to find these, perhaps we not always successful in our searches, but thanks to your information we are now one step closer, cheers Miranda
