Re: Mike C.: Lord of the Rings names?
Hi Yahalome,
I am also a fan of Tolkien's works, especially the really neat world and languages he created for them. Short of maybe Frodo, Bilbo and Gandalf, I will not be adding more Tolkien names in the near future. There are still so many real-world names that need to be added.I know, or know of, people named Galadriel, Arwen and Rohan (the Rohan was named after the region in the books, it was not the Indian name of the same spelling).

Yeah, for a name site like this, there shouldn't be a lot of names people won't use. Mebbe I'll create a Tolkien name site in the near future?!? My parents have been fans for a long time and so I grew up hearing and reading and discussing it. It's funny, if you do your own thing, sooner or later it'll become mainstream. Have you been to www.lordoftherings.net ? :)
P.S. My Tolkien pseudonym is Orethule, meaning wind or spirit, made from the two Tengwar, Ore and Thule, with identical meanings. ;)

Me too....I know a Galadriel... and (strangely) a Cerin named after Cerin Amloth (is that the right place?)
