Re: This board is primarily for etymology
I respect your responsibility as moderator Miranda but, I am not trying or intented in being anything but the person I am, and I am a helpful and wise lady of God.1. I am not sure what a "kabalarian" is, I think you are talking about someone who studies the Jewish Kabbalah, and I can assure you I never have and do not adhere to that practice of mystism and occult. I have not been trying to share an analysis of names, I am sharing what I do have knowledge and understanding of concerning the meaning of names.
2. I do not recall you ever telling me not to use capital letters. The reason I do is because they are easier for me to see, these lower case are very hard on my eyes.

What is this 15 PPs you speak of? Thank you I will take a look at your profile. SR

No, and no1. Kabalarians site: http://www.kabalarians.com/.
2. It's common Internet etiquette, basic online politeness. Just as you just wouldn't shout in public because it's "easier for me to hear myself", you don't type in All Caps online just because it's "easier for me to see". But thank you anyway for stopping the All Caps. My eyes (and my ears, because I read All Caps as literal shouting in my head) thank you.
3. PP = Punctuation Pet.EDIT: Added last two sentences to #2, to make myself sound less like a jerk.

I would not have considered the word "jerk" much less called you one, even in my own mind, if you had not added those sentences.I do not believe that shouting in public and typing with the caplock on (even though now, as you have educated me, it is equated as shouting in Cyberland) are comparable, but I do understand what you mean when you say (paraphrase in my words) "Just seeing all caps sounds like someone shouting down my face!". There have been times when I have listened to someone speak and some time later if I pick up a book the person has written, I can hear them speaking to me as if they were right before me. What is a punctuation pet? Is it like your pet peeve?

Caps is shouting, period. For people who use the internet on a regular basis, especially those who use e-mail, chatrooms, and message boards, its shouting. I very, very rarely type in all caps. Not to mention that I, too, "hear" messages typed in caps as yelling. Siri

A punctuation pet is a punctuation mark you treat as a "pet". In practice, they actually mostly sit there and look cute. But while doing that they serve as a reminder not to overuse--abuse--punctuation on this board, or else someone will rescue your suffering punctuation and put them up for adoption to good homes. This board--in fact, most of the Internet really--is public, and therefore I think my comparison is absolutely dead-on. But let's just drop that, shall we?In fact, if we want to continue any of this, we should go to the Lounge because this is terribly off-topic on this board.
