Saraelye - Meaning/History Requested
Hi!I've been curious about the origin of the name "Saraelye." The only context I've ever seen it in is as the name of a faery queen in a poem(?) that's a part of a Pagan ritual. (At least Pagan websites are where I always find it; I don't actually know much about Pagans. I think I've seen it once or twice on a site that was more about fairytale/fantasy fairies.)My brain keeps going to "Sarah" for "princess" but that's probably not related....Here's a copy of that ritual if it helps:

Oh dear. It is rather feeble, isn't it? No wonder nobody is admitting to having written it!Before I looked at the site you cite, I was thinking about some kind of Sarah plus Ellie combo, but though that might have been at the back of the inventor's little mind, I now believe that it means: Label To Stick On The Fake Faery You Are Being Silly Enough To Summon.

The only names it reminds me of are Sarah ("princess") and Sarai (sah-rah-ee, sah-rie, meaning "my princess"). Sarel means "G-d's prince", so I think Sarael would be "G-d's princess". So Saraeli (sah-rah-elly) would be "my princess of G-d, my godly princess". And Saraelye could be a creative spelling. Of course, that is only valid if the name is in Hebrew, and I don't think pagan rituals use Hebrew. Maybe you should check in Celtic?
