I believe you may be thinking of "Chronos".
Chronos is the ancient Greek god of time, although he later became "merged" with Cronos because of the similarity in their names. However, Cronos is a Latin name (taken from the Greek Kronos originally) and Chronos is purely a Greek name, as I understand it.
Is this correct, Pavlos?

=> Kronos is written with a kappa (K), which is pronounced like "castrate" -- which is precisely what Kronos did to his dad Uranus to avenge Gaia, his abused mom. The avenging demons known as Erinyes were born from the blood of Uranus's doodads. From the severed doodads themselves, which were cast off the shores of Cyprus, emerged the goddess of love Aphrodite.
