Origins and history
Nhamo- female African name, Mozambique area. Name of the main character in the book A Girl Named Disaster, by Nancy Farmer. According to the book (fiction), Nhamo means disaster. Can anyone verify that?Arsinoë- female name, ancient Egypt: name of several women in the family of Queen Cleopatra. Arsinoe is Greek (Cleopatra's family was Greek in fact). I've found that it means "woman with uplifted mind"...
