How do you pronounce Annika?
So how do you pronounce Annika? Is it "ann-ih-ka", or "an-NEEK-a"?? (Or is it "ahn" for the ann part?)

There are several pronounciations, but I say ANNE-ih-kuh.

"Star Trek: Voyager" says AW-nik-ahAnd I say the same. I think I was definitely influenced by Voyager, but I can't recall whether I heard Annika first on it or not.

In Sweden, it is pronounced UNN-ee-kah (or ONN-ee-kah), it is hard to describe without a phonetic alphabet. The big difference is in the pronounciation of the first A.I think Annika is originally Dutch (Anneke) but I'm not sure how it is pronounced there.I think that I myself would pronounce it as ANN-ick-a if I went to USA, but I don't know which pronounciation is considered "correct" in USA.

Actually...There's not a 'correct' pronounciation. There are several, including ANN-ihk-uh, AHN-ihk-uh, ah-NEEK-uh, and there are probably more, too.

"ahn ih ka," I'd say.
