Let's see...English is the same language in Britan, Australia, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, etc... But is the accent the same? I think not. Do we pronuce words the same? No. Do words even mean the same thing? No.So why on earth should French Canadians have the same accent that people in France do?Siri

That's very true. Years ago I went to Quebec with my French teacher, who said "They won't understand you and you won't understand them because of the dialect".

No problem! I know that in Canada some people say Renee ruh-nay, for example. In France it is ruh-neh :)
