Daividh, Oh, Cumudgeonous One (I'm not sure if this title is a legitimate one or not, but who cares?)Now, to get Satan Herself (or Her Satanicness) back on, things would be (almost) back to normal. :lol:Phyllis (aka Sidhe Uaine or Gaia Euphoria)

Why, thank you Phyllis...I've been given much worse titles of late, most not repeatable. Hope you're well and still in school(?). Good to see some of the old gang's still hangin out here!

Yep, and pestering the head of the Ethnic Studies program to change a "minor" detail about one class I long to take.I've signed up for a class on ethnicity and politics/sociology in the Former Soviet Union, and I've also conversed with the prospective instructor (eighth time's the charm?) concerning the class and I found out that Yuri (the instructor) signed up to teach the class on Wednesday afternoons, but the class was listed as being offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays (opposite a class I WILL NOT TAKE [Feminism, Pornography and Ethnicity]) as well as Japanese, Straw Weaving, and Astronomy.Phyllis (aka Sidhe Uaine or Gaia Euphoria)

Hey Mike,Nothing real exciting I'm afraid. Went thru an extended spell earlier this year where the doctor was strictly limiting my computer time while the bad eye semi-healed (it is and always will be a "bad" eye, but better than nuthin).Had to use the allotted screen hours while at work so not much chance to keep up with stuff on the 'Net. But I'm back, I guess, and absolutely bowled over by the depth and breadth of the expertise the current regulars bring to the board!! VERY impressive...Other than that, done a little traveling this year. Spent a leisurely 10 days in July among your fine countrymen in Ontario (didn't catch SARS, and the hotel bargains in Toronto were terrific!). Also spent 2-3 weeks each this fall on business in northern Arizona and in Mexico, near Monterrey. Love Arizona, but why my company put a parts plant in the Mexican high desert, I can't fathom...Hope you're well and busy as always. I don't see your Mom on the board, but give my best to her and all the Tofuttians back home.- Dave

At least you don't have two bad eyes, like me. I'm entirely dependent on my eyewear. Luckily I'm allowed to stare at my computer screen as long as I want, otherwise I'd be out of a job!My mom's computer has crapped out on her so she hasn't been online much, but she still browses the boards occasionally when she's working at the library. When I go up to Tofino for Xmas I'm going to see if I can get it working again.Mike
