Sirius
Sirius is a constalation in the sky, it is called the dog star. It is a male name. It is pronounced: serious. I have no idea where it is originated from. There is no info on this name at all on this site, I would like to find some, could anybody help me?

Iwould like to know if this star is part of the Southern Cross.
I was told it is the brightest star of the southern cross, is that true.

Sirius the Latin form of the Greek "Seirios", which means "scorcher" (Liddell & Scott , An Intermediate Greek-English Lexicon).
