First of all: in Spanish, Durante -besides a name- it's a preposition that means "during, along". Anyway, in both cases, we pronounce [doo - RAN -teh]. Englishspeakers may pronounce [diu], but we say [doo]. Regards.

Yes, usually we would; but for those of us who don't live where Spanish is widely used, our pronunciation is based on the one example everyone has heard of: Jimmy "Schnozzle"! And that is dyou-RAN-tee, with the ending rhyming with "Jimmy".
