Re: my name in cherokee or my cherokee name
There is no direct translation of your name into Cherokee. The origin of your name is a place name in Italy that probably comes from a latin plant name: Laurus (or laurel). Laurels are not native to North America but are related to magnolia trees, some of which are native in the original territory of the Cherokee people. Perhaps you can find someone who speaks Cherokee that can tell you the name for magnolia---that would at least be an approximate translation.
