Hi,
I am thinking to call my daughter Cassiopeia, does anyone knows what's the meaning of the name? I know that the name derives from Greek, Cassiopeia (Kassiope in Greek) was the Nereid daughter of Kassios Zeus, wife of Kepheus and mother of Andromeda.

In ancient Greek 'Kassia' was the name of a spicy herb.
The word 'ops', 'opos', (first 'o' is an Omega, second an Omicron- ùø, ùðïò, means 'eye', or 'face'. The closest translation of the name Cassiopeia in our days would be 'spicy eyes', or 'hot eyes'. (See also Eur-opa, 'wide eyes', etc.)
