Variations of Hanka?
My great-aunt's name was Hanka. She was a Polish Jew. I can't find any records of her listed under this name - are there any possible variants of Hanka used in Polish or Yiddish?
~ Hannah

Hanka is a diminutive of Hana. Just like Anka for Ana. Both Hanka and Anka are sometimes used as full names.

Hanka is diminutive of Hana (form of Hannah). In Czech Republic (and probably in Poland too) it is often used as a pet form of Hana or sometimes as a given name.
