Vered, hebrew name, feminine only or masculine too?
Does anyone know if the hebrew name Vered (supposed meaning "Rose") is ever given to boys? This site lists it as feminine only but I've seen other sources say "both" and I know the name Varda is usually the feminine form. However, I've never known anyone male or female with the name. Also if anyone knows does it mean "rose" as in the flower we usually know as the rose in the western world?

Only feminine.Definitely feminine. A man named Vered would be as weird as an English-speaking man named Rose. And yes, it means rose as in the flower we usually know as a rose.
