Im Trying To Impress Somebody
Hey yall... Im a new member but Ive been curious about the meanings of certain names i.e. Candice ... Rosetta (the first names) and Newsum ... Little (last names). I was hoping maybe you guys would know how I would go about figuring out the origins of each of those names as well as meanings. Newsum - Afro-American Georgian southern female and Little - St.Thomas and Afro-American Californian female.

Sometimes said to mean "incandescent" or "white" from Latin canditia, but it is more likely from an unknown Ethiopic source. In the New Testament this is given as the title of the queens of Ethiopia.
