Re: My name?
Ranner is an English surname, variant of Raynor, along with Rainer, Reiner, Rayner, Reyner, and Renner - all derived from the Germanic elements ragin 'counsel' and hari 'army' so means 'counsel army' or 'mighty army'. There was a Regenhere, son of a king of East Anglia (now Norfolk & Suffolk) in the 600's, the Rainer version appears in the Doomsday book showing a French influence on the spelling of the time and it's a well-established surname in all it's varieties here.cheersDevon
