Trua is a ladle or skimmer...and then there's a slang term that's similar but not trui exactly, used especially by gays...it means 'tart' to use a gentler, more quaint, term but also 'sow' as in female pig...use your imagination and you can hook it all up rather grossly.Never seen trui in Italian. Dutch though - trui is 'sweater'.Devon

Yeah. And also, in Dutch and therefore Afrikaans, you could conceivably use Trui as a short form of Gertruida = Gertrude.It would be more likely to be Trudie or Truida, though.
