Hi!

I doubt that there's a connection because according to name statistics there is nobody with the name Helus (neither for first nor surname) in the Scandinavian countries ...

A quick look found a Johann Hellus in Germany in the 1700's with a daughter that took on the surname Helusova....pointing towards Bohemian roots. Maybe Czech? Slovak? If so, wonder if it's based on the Greek helios then or another Slavic root....hmmmm.
