I know a gal named Roshanna and have no clue re: source of the name and it's not on the bth list. Anyone know what it means?

But do not trust it ... Sanskrit is a language which is pretty well documented, and we need not atribute eveything to it.

(The Hindi roshan, roshni etc. are of farsi origin, not Sanskrit.)

I agree with you, but couldn't this be the bong pronunciation of Rashana ( waist ornament) or Rasana (tongue) in Sanskrit ? :-)

It looks like it's related to Roxana. I think I've come across that name before, on a girl from Afghanistan.
